ECPAT Cambodia
Brief History
End Child Prostitution, Abuse and Trafficking in Cambodia (ECPAT-Cambodia) is a NGO network established in 1995. ECPAT-Cambodia is a network of national and international organizations working to prevent the Commercial Sexual Exploitation of Children. It consists of 27 member organizations working together to ensure that children everywhere in the country enjoy their fundamental rights, and are free and secure from all kinds of sexual abuse and exploitation.
ECPAT-Cambodia is an affiliated member of ECPAT International. ECPAT International is a global network of more than 70 countries worldwide dedicated to the elimination of the Commercial Sexual Exploitation of Children.

| ECPAT-Cambodia's vision is the realization of the rights of all children to live free of child prostitution, abuse, child pornography and child trafficking for sexual purposes. | ECPAT-Cambodia works to eliminate CSEC through awareness raising, advocacy, monitoring and the coordination of actions and sharing information among relevant stakeholders. |
Objectives
The objectives of ECPAT Cambodia are:

To strengthen a strong and
effective network to fight against CSEC by strengthening the internal management affairs of ECPAT and the capacity building of members. |

To strengthen collaboration among members and stakeholders against Child Sex Tourism, child trafficking, sexual abuse and exploitation, and child pornography. |

To monitor the implementation of the National Plan against Trafficking in Persons and Sexual Exploitation (TIPSE) |
- |
To promote and uphold the rights of children and youth to participate in planning, implementing and assessing actions against CSEC. |
- |
To influence the government, international government organizations and the private sector to become more accountable for protecting children against CSEC. |
Strategies

By improving communications
between and among members of the network, ECPAT-Cambodia seeks to promote close collaboration within the network on activities,
research and advocacy against the commercial sexual exploitation of children in Cambodia; |

Coordinating with members to ensure we have technical and informational resources available to support work against CSEC; |
• |
In seeking to improve group relations within the network, ECPAT-Cambodia will provide proper recognition for ECPAT members’ work and achievements in combating child abuse, CSEC, child prostitution, child trafficking, etc. |
• |
Producing, in collaboration with ECPAT members and other relevant agencies, necessary research, documents, materials, and training tools for areas of prevention, protection, recovery, reintegration, and child and youth participation; |
• |
Functioning as a resource center for information sharing, and a forum to devise strategies and action plans to combat CSEC and strengthen skills and partnerships within activities; |
• |
Ensuring that all information produced and disseminated are available in both Khmer and English and meet the needs of the network members. |

Identifying financial support for collaborative work among the ECPAT members. |
• |
Focusing on raising awareness and accountability at all levels to protect children’s rights and safety from sexual abuse and exploitation; |
• |
Coordinating campaigns for ECPAT-Cambodia and assisting groups of members with their own specific campaigns |
• |
Developing a standard system of reporting and evaluating activities in order to improve the effectiveness of future activities organized by ECPAT-Cambodia. |
